Mueller’s clawed frog

Known throughout Africa as “platannas”, clawed frogs are small and strictly aquatic. They are voracious predators of aquatic insects, small fish, and even their own tadpoles. The small black claws on their hind feet help them shred prey items for easier swallowing.
