You're Never too Old

... to learn more about the wonders of the world around you. Join other active seniors in Zoo learning programs that take you outside to your backyard and around the world as you learn about animals we might see everyday as well as exotic animals from faraway places. There is a whole world out there waiting to be explored.

Senior Wednesdays

These exciting adventures are held every Wednesday at different locations all over Wichita. Senior Wednesdays are held at Sedgwick County Zoo on the second Wednesday of each month at 10:15 a.m. The Zoo programs include breakfast sundries, an informational chat and a tour or special guest. Preregistration is not required. This class is for active guests over 55. Class fee is $4 per adult.

Visit Wichita Museum of Art, Ulrich Museum, Historical Museum, Wichita's Downtown Public Library, Great Plains Nature Center, Old Cowtown Museum, Exploration Place, WATER Center and The Kansas African American Museum for other class listings.

    There are many different types of coverings that mammals have that are not necessarily one in the same. Come learn the many differences.
  • Feb 10 Wed - Online Dating...for Animals
    Come learn how animals are introduced to each other for breeding purposes an d continuing the genes of rare animals.
  • March 9 Wed - Master Gardener
    Join us as we team up with one of our favorite Master Gardeners, Lynn Campbell-Behnke.
