WICHITA, KS – Sedgwick County Zoo is excited to announce the return of Stingray Cove on March 13 for its final season at the Zoo. After fulfilling a successful five-year contract, the interactive experience will conclude its run at the end of its 2026 season.

Since opening, Stingray Cove has become one of the Zoo’s most popular seasonal attractions, offering guests the unforgettable opportunity to touch and feed cownose and Southern stingrays while learning more about these fascinating marine animals. The experience has inspired thousands of visitors to connect more deeply with ocean wildlife and conservation.
“Stingray Cove has created meaningful, hands-on moments for our guests over the past five years,” said Scott Newland, President & CEO of Sedgwick County Zoo. “As we prepare to close this chapter, we invite the community to join us this final season to celebrate this unique experience.”
Stingray Cove will operate daily beginning March 13 through October. Entry into Stingray Cove is free for Zoo members and guests, and Stingray Feedings can be purchased with an Attraction Ticket.
