King vulture

This tropical scavenger is the most colorful vulture in the Americas and, with a wing span reaching 6.5 ft, it is one of the largest vultures in the western hemisphere. Because this species does not have a strong sense of smell, it finds its food by sight, often depending on turkey vultures and yellow-headed vultures to find the carcasses on which it dines.
