Kwangtung River Turtle

While this turtle is currently endemic to China, and most likely restricted to the Guangxi and Guangdong provinces, pre-historic skulls of the Kwangtung river turtle have been found in northern Vietnam and Hainan. This turtle is also called the red-necked pond turtle, or the black-necked pond turtle.
