The Zoo will be closed to the public Sept. 6 & 7 to prepare for Zoobilee, and will reopen at noon Sept. 8.

This brightly colored beetle is native to Africa in areas such as the Congo, East and southeastern Africa. They are strong flyers and are very widespread and common to Africa, similar to the June bugs in the United States.
