Join us for an overnight adventure! We’ll be around when the rest of the Zoo is closed so we will see who may be awake!

All Creature Campouts take place on select Friday and Saturday nights, beginning at 7:00 p.m. and lasting until 8:00 a.m. the following morning. Due to limited staff, we cannot accommodate latecomers or those wishing to leave early.

Each Creature Campout has its own theme and craft.

All campers will need to bring their own tents and sleeping bags. Each Creature Campout includes dinner, a guided tour, activities, an animal encounter, and a bedtime snack. In the morning, the adventure continues with continental breakfast and activities. Closed-toe shoes are required.

We welcome individuals, families, and friends to attend the Creature Campout. All participants must be at least five years old at the time of the campout. Youth under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Participants should plan to attend the entire event; we are unable to accommodate latecomers or those wishing to leave early.

We will conduct the Creature Campout rain or shine. Campouts will only be cancelled in the event of severe weather: any dangerous meteorological phenomenon with the potential to cause damage, serious social disruption, or loss of human life. In the case of severe weather, the Zoo will contact you during the day of the Creature Campout. If weather is anticipated to reach freezing temperatures or heavy rain patterns overnight, it may result in moving the participants to sleep inside. The Education Department also reserves the right to cancel a Creature Campout if fewer than 10 participants are registered by close of business on the Tuesday prior to the event. If the Sedgwick County Zoo cancels the Creature Campout, all participants will be notified and given a full refund.

Sedgwick County Zoo is a smoke-free facility. The Zoo does not have wi-fi or wireless internet access anywhere on the grounds. There are a very limited number of outlets near the camping area.

Ticket sales end 48 hours prior to the event. Event ticket does not include Zoo Admission before or after the program.
