Farms Festival: Sheep to Shawl
Saturday, March 19, 10 a.m. – noon
Join us as we shear the sheep and prepare for spring. The Zoo’s Tunis, Karakul, and Navajo Churro sheep will be sheared in the American Barn throughout the morning. Feel the different wool and try your hand at wool carding and hand spinning.

Meet all of the Heritage Breeds at the Zoo and learn how we help each other. Enjoy special tours and extra keeper chats.
Farms Festival: County Fair
Saturday, July 16, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Celebrate the Farms by participating in some old-fashioned county fair activities. Learn how animals are judged at the fair and much more. You might even win a blue ribbon!
