Education Cancellation Policies

Learning Adventure Classes, Events, and Programs

All ticket sales for classes, events, or programs are final. Each person over the age of six months who attends any education program must have a ticket. Space is limited. Tickets will be scanned at the door. All classes take place rain or shine. Your purchase serves as your permission for use of your image by Sedgwick County Zoo. All reservations are final. Ticket may not be copied or resold and may be used only once. Tickets will not be replaced if lost, stolen or unused. No refunds or transfers.

If Sedgwick County Zoo cancels a class, event, or program, we will notify those who have purchased tickets in advance and offer a transfer to another class, event, or program or a full refund.

For the safety and comfort of other participants, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone with a fever or who is noticeably sick.

Field Trip Programs including Tours

Field Trip Programs

If your group is not able to attend your scheduled education program, you must notify the Education Department at least 1 hour before the start of your program. If no advance notice is given, the group will be charged a $25 service fee per program. Title 1 schools who do not show up for their scheduled program will be billed for each admission in addition to the $25 service charge. Fees will be invoiced to the school or group.

Field Trip Tours including Behind the Scenes Tours

If your group, or any part of your group, is not able to attend your scheduled education tour, you must notify the Education Department at least 24 hours before the start of your tour. This policy applies to each tour scheduled. If no advance notice is given, the group will be charged a $25 service fee per tour. Title 1 schools who do not show up will be billed for each admission in addition to the $25 service charge. Fees will be invoiced to the school.

ZooReach Programs

If there are any changes or cancellations, please contact the Education Department at 316-266-8213.

Your program may be rescheduled with a minimum notice of two weeks and with new date subject to availability. If you need to cancel, please notify the Education Department at least 24 hours before the start of your program, 316-266-8213. Groups who cancel within 24 hours of the program start time will be charged a $25 service fee per program that will be invoiced to your group by the Sedgwick County Zoo.
