Arizona Ridge-Nose Rattlesnake

The Arizona Ridge-Nose Rattlesnake is the official state reptile of Arizona. They get their name from the ridges along the side of their nose. These ridges are upturned scales. While they are venomous, due to their small size, their bites are not life-threatening.
