Brazilian salmon birdeater tarantula

This species of tarantula, which hails from north-eastern Brazil, is sometimes considered to be the fourth largest in the world. Typically these tarantulas are all black in color until they reach maturity, where they grow pink-red hairs along their legs and body. They typically stay low to the ground and are known for ambushing prey rather than hunting.
