Fly River turtle

Tropics·Reptile

Resembling sea turtles, the Fly River turtle has flipper-like legs and a skin-covered shell. However, it lives in streams and rivers, including the Fly River in New Guinea. Like many turtles in Asia, their population is rapidly shrinking. Humans are eating them out of existence.
