Miniature donkey

The miniature Mediterranean donkey has a small, compact body, short legs, and big ears. Its coat ranges in color from traditional gray to dark brown. This donkey has a cross-shaped patch of hair that is darker than the rest of the coat, going across the shoulder and down the back to the tail. Its milk was once used as medicine for children with tuberculosis.
