Tentacled snake
These strange little creatures spend most of their lives in streams and ponds of Southeast Asia. Like all snakes, they do breathe air and can leave the water to migrate to a new aquatic home. The tentacles for which they are named help them detect movement. Nerve endings at the base of the tentacles can sense when a fish is swimming by.
