Yellow-naped amazon

South America·Bird

It is estimated that the yellow-naped amazon has lost more than 92% of its population in the last three generation. Deforestation heavily contributes to this, but illegal parrot trade is the largest factor. These birds readily mimic sounds and speech, contributing to a high demand for poaching.
