Copperhead

North America·Reptile

Excellent at camouflage, these snakes perfectly blend in with their surroundings. Unlike other snakes, copperheads will often “freeze” rather than “flee” when encountering a threat. Copperheads get their name from the coppery-light brown color of their scales.
