Red-crested pochard
The scientific name of these birds, “Netta rufina” is from the Greek “netta,” meaning duck, and the Latin “rufina,” meaning “red-haired.” Adult males have round orange heads, a red bill, and black breasts. Females are pale brown with a white face.
