Spectacled Owl
Native to the tropical forests of South America, the spectacled owl is known for its distinctive white facial markings that give the appearance of glasses, hence the unique name. Primarily a nocturnal bird, these owls hunt a variety of small mammals, invertebrates, birds and even frogs. Apart from their white spectacles, these owls are well known for their dark brown plumage and large yellow eyes.
