Shortnose Gar

The Shortnose Gar is a native species to the United States and are distinctive for their long, slender bodies and shorter snout compared to other gar species. They are defined as a "lie-in-wait" predator, and will use their torpedo-like bodies to snap up unsuspecting fish with their row of sharp teeth.
